These mountains offer us a chance to observe the beauty of nature in every season, skills of our ancestors and allow us to add a little thrill to our life. Trekking , Hiking, Camping in Sahyadri Mountains of Maharashtra is one of the most pleasurable monsoon activities and that gives a lifetime experience. Situated in the Malshej region of the Sahyadri ranges, Harishchandragad in Junnar is known for its challenging trekking trails, breath-taking views of the Konkan region, white waterfalls, and seasonal flowers. This fort can be visited all year long but its beauty increases manifold during the monsoon. Trek to Harishchandragad is a dream trek on the itinerary of every avid trekker who loves Sahyadri’s and likes to explore the beauty of nature in monsoon around fort.

Harishchandragad trek & Camping Behind Waterfall Cost:

  • Cost: 2600/-  2299/- From-to Mumbai
  • Cost: 1200/- Self travel till base of Fort. ( 195km from Mumbai or Pune)

The itinerary for the event will be as follows:

Day:0 – Friday night 15 July (Batch:1) | 22 July (Batch:2)

  • 21:30pm – Mumbai Participant 
  • Meeting point at Borivali national park gate on friday night.
  • Further pickup Malad Oberai mall, Andheri Flyover end, Bandra Kalanagar Signal, Dadar Circle, Sion Amar Mahal Junction, Ghatkopar, Vikroli, Thane Teen hat naka, Kalyan-Bhiwani Bypass.
  • Coordinator number, Timing, Vehicle details and live location will be shared post confirmation.
  • Overnight travel to base village. Rest in vehicle. Short halt for tea and washroom.

Day:1 – Saturday 16 July (Batch:1) | 23 July (Batch:2)

  • 06:30am – Reach base village have breakfast and tea and freshen-up
  • 08:30am – Post small intro trek commenced. Normal hike and gradual walk easy graded trek.
  • 10:45am – Reach atop of fort area. Explore cave, temple, kedareshwar shivlingam, visit kokankada.
  • 13:30pm – Back to temple area have a lunch (Veg), rest for while.
  • 14:45pm– Start descend back till Kapryachi vaat from where we are heading to campsite.
  • 16:30pm – Reach camping area. Tent pitch near cascading waterfall in front. ( No couple tent only 3/4 sharing available.) Rest for while.
  • 18:30pm Evening tea and bhutta bonfire. Fun activities Antakshari, Mafia photography, Bonfire.
  • 21:30pm Dinner call and fun continues till midnight. Further retire of day.
  • Note: Alcohol / Drugs strictly not allowed. If anyone caught he/she/group will be full responsible to forest ranger / police action.
  • This camping will be in raw type in narrow space/ledge of mountain. No washroom at campsite.

Day:2 – Sunday 17 July (Batch:1) | 24 July (Batch:2)

  • 06:30pm – Wakeup call pack your bags and have cup of tea. Further half hr trek we heading villager house. Change cloths have hot breakfast, tea and get freshen-up.
  • 09:00am We will start travel back with memories and event concluded.
  • In-route halt for lunch will be own cost.

  • Non AC Travelling from-to Mumbai/Pune
  • Sat Bf/Tea, Lunch (Veg Only), Snacks, Dinner
  • Sun Bf/Tea
  • Forest and village entry fees.
  • Guide and Expertise Charges
  • 3/4 People sharing waterproof tents. (No couple tent available.)
  • Equipment and Safety Gears

Exclude:

  • Personal Expenses
  • Medical/Insurance
  • Anything which is not mentioned in inclusion
  • Sunday Lunch / Afternoon snacks.

Things to carry:

  • Rucksack or bag to carry all things (Compulsory)
  • Extra Mask and Personal Sanitizers
  • 2 Extra pair of cloths. ( 1 at campsite and 1 after completing trek.)
  • 2 Chaddar or Sleeping bag
  • Some ready eat food like plum cake, biscuits, fruits Paratha/Thepala/Boiled Eggs/Dates Etc. (Compulsory)
  • Glucon-D or Electrolytes (Compulsory)
  • Drinking water min 2ltr
  • Personal medicine if any
  • Headlamp or Torch (Compulsory)
  • Good grip shoes (Compulsory)
  • Full Sleeves Shirt & Full Pant.
