Naneghat Night Trek Information:

Naneghat Night Trek is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats range near Junnar district of Maharashtra, India, during the reign of the Satavahan, the pass was extensively used as a trade route. Literally, the name ‘Nane’ means “coin” and ghat means “pass”. The name is given because this path was used as a tollbooth to collect toll from traders crossing the hills. Naneghat trek is quite simple and enjoyable, especially during the monsoons & night trek in summer. While going through Malshej Ghat, we can easily get a glimpse of Naneghat or locally known as nanacha angatha  after Tokavade.

Naneghat will be accessible through kokan side via two major route one is starting from Vaishakhare village marked with arrows easy accessible compare easy to another one.

The second one is starting from village Bhoranda & knows as Bhorandyache Daar said route rarely used by anyone as it’s like naali vaat with the full of water streams in monsoon, boulders, dense jungle & many flora around it. Explore this hidden route.

Near Naneghat Jivdhan (Jeevdhan) is one of the most popular forts for experienced trekkers. This fort extensively used to keep safe old naneghat trading passage along with other ghatwat near ahupe side.  It is also grouped under the famous 5 trekking destinations in Maharashtra. Located in Junnar Taluka, the fort falls under difficult treks as there are misleading jungle trails and some hill patches that require an experience to cross. On some sections of the trek, you might also need to use ropes at stairs patch. Recent year Jivdhan to Vanarlingi (Khada-Parsi) vally crossing event held which one most attractable and thrilling experience.
