The itinerary for the Winter Leh and Ladakh will be as follows:

Day 0: Friday 24 Jan 2025
  • Departure from Mumbai / Pune / Delhi to Leh Airport
  • Book your direct flight which arrives at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh on the morning after 09:30 am
  • If planning a connecting flight then opt for at least 6 hours of layover time & same company connecting flight to avoid delay/flight missing issues. 
  • Overnight flight to Leh.

Day 1: Saturday 25 Jan 2025
  • Arrival day at Leh by air (1800m) 
  • After completing the arrival formalities and picking up your bags from the baggage counter, you have to book a cab from the taxi Counter toward the hotel. (Location and address will be shared separately.). Meet & greet in the Hotel by our tour coordinator.
  • We recommend you completely relax for the rest of the day to enable yourselves to acclimatize to the rarefied air at the high altitude. Spend the half day in the room itself to acclimatize a drink lots of water or liquid like soup or tea, this is absolutely necessary and is most important for our high altitude trip days ahead.
  • The network is available (only post-paid Airtel billing has good coverage), and Hotel Wifi available. ATM is available in the main market. Visit any very high altitude place or pass is not advisable. Consumption of alcohol and smoking is strictly prohibited. 
  • Afternoon post lunch we will start our local sightseeing by visiting the nearest easy-drive accessible point which also helps your body to acclimatize to outside weather and travel. (Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Soma Gompa, Walkthrough Leh Market) back to the hotel after sunset.
  • Evening meet the group members for a small introduction and orientation.

Day 2: Sunday 26 Jan 2025Monastery Tour
  •  Local Sightseeing around Leh 
  • Early morning wakeup after breakfast head out for a sightseeing tour around the town of Leh. ( Request to be on time as needed to cover sightseeing spots on time.)
  • 08:00 am – Wake up and get freshen up and have bf/tea.
  • 09:30 am – Visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery, Rancho School, Spituk Monastery, Stok Palace, and the village. (Full-day excursion.) 
  • 17:00 pm – Back at the Hotel get freshen up.  
 √ Inclusion: Double sharing hotel stay, Bf/Tea and Dinner, Vehicle sightseeing.

Day 3: Monday 27 Jan 2025Sham Valley
  • Sham Valley Tour
  • Early morning wakeup after breakfast head out for a sightseeing tour around the town of Leh. ( Request to be on time as needed to cover sightseeing spots on time.)
  • 08:00 am – Wake up and get freshen up and have bf/tea.
  • 09:30 am – Visit Confluence/Sangam of Indus and Zanskar river further head to Chilling.
  • 11:30 am – The aptly named village of Chilling makes for a gorgeous day trip from Leh and it is definitely one of our favorite winter experiences. Make sure you pack lots of snacks as there aren’t any shops or shacks on this road. In this case, the drive truly IS the destination. The stark green-blue color of the rivers stands out against the browns of the mountains and makes for an incredible panorama. Further ahead, snow-laden villages and panoramas abound. As you go beyond Sangam Point, you will see many places where the Zanskar River is completely frozen – you can walk, relax experience the walk over the ice sheet known as the Chadar trek. 
  • 14:00 pm – Start travel back to Leh in route stop over at Magnetic Hill ( the hill that defies gravity.) Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and evening visit the Hall of Fame.

 Day 4: Tuesday 28 Jan 2025Frozen Pangong
  •  Leh – Frozen Pangong Lake to Leh
  • 06:30 am – Early morning wakeup After breakfast at the hotel drive towards Pangong Lake it will take 4 hrs to drive through the snowy Changla Pass. We will spend 1.5/hr only at Pangong as in winter extreme cold (-20 degrees and at a very higher altitude.) 
  • 11:30 am – Pangong to Nubra Valley via Shyok Valley by surface passing. 
  • 16:30 pm – On arrival in Nubra Valley, drive to Diskit, the HQ town of Nubra Valley. Driving for 30 Km takes you to Khalsar Bridge. Visit the Disklit monastery, Buddha statue, and sand of dunes. Further, drive from Deskit to Hunder, and you may see a few Double Humped, Hairy, and Bactrian Camels. 
 √ Inclusion: Double sharing Camp stay, Bf/Tea and Dinner, Vehicle sightseeing.

 Day 5: Wednesday 29 Jan 2025 – Nubra Valley 
  •  Leh to Nubra via Khardungla Pass
  • 07:30 am – After breakfast will leave for Leh
  • Via Khardungla Pass second highest motorable road in the world. 
  • Evening check-in to Hotel / Guest house. 
 √ Inclusion: Double sharing stay, Bf/Tea and Dinner, Vehicle sightseeing. 
 Ø Exclude Lunch, Insurance, or Medical expenses and anything that is not covered in inclusion. 

 Day 6: Thursday 30 Jan 2025 – Back to Leh
  • 07:30 am – After breakfast will leave for Leh
  • Nubra to Leh Day trip (6 hours) via Khardungla Pass second highest motorable road in the world. 
  • Evening check-in to Hotel / Guest house. 
 √ Inclusion: Double sharing stay, BF/Tea, and Dinner.
 Ø Exclude Lunch, Insurance, or Medical expenses and anything that is not covered in inclusion.  

 Day 7: Friday 31 Jan 2025 – Spare Day
  • Spare Day (No vehicle provided on this day for sightseeing.)
  • Additional backup Day. ( In case of roadblocks or any unforeseen circumstances.)
  • Note: If everything goes smoothly then we can visit for more local sightseeing at extra transport cost. Or you can rest for the day in hotel / guest house.
  • Evening shopping & hopping into Leh market.

 Day 8: Saturday 01 Feb 2025 – Leh Departure
  • Book your flight for this morning for the destination as per departure time.

Very Important Notes: 
  • The sequence of the day-wise itinerary may change depending upon daily tour departure time, re-schedules/restrictions or road blockage, Govt rules, heavy snowfall, and all other unforeseen natural and travel-related conditions or vehicle issues due to extremely bad road conditions.
  • If there is any unprecedented hike in the cost of travel/stay/govt fees or any other circumstances that are beyond the organizer’s control. The additional cost incurred will be payable by the traveler in addition to the original package cost.
  • Smoking, Alcohol, Drugs, Narcotics any kind of intoxication, firearms, and gambling are strictly prohibited. Please do not litter, we believe in the saying, “When you go to the nature/mountain leave only your footprints and bring back only memories” The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No Arguments will be entertained.
  • Due to remote areas, there might be electricity issues. Kindly cooperate.
  • Delays in the above schedule can be considered as vehicle breakdowns, health issues of participants, or any other unforeseen condition beyond the organizer’s control. Request to cooperate.
  • There might be chances of roadblocks due to extremely heavy snowfall while heading from Leh to Pangong Lake, Pangong to Nubra, and Nubra to Leh. Climatic conditions are beyond our control in such cases no refund is provided. 
  • In case an individual group needs to stay additional in Leh onward Day 7 due to flight issues he/she has to pay additional expenses of stay, food, or medical accordingly. 

Things to carry: 

  • Performance Clothing Lightweight Long Underwear – 2 pairs of Tops and bottoms (in case the weather gets cold). 
  • Should be made of moisture-wicking synthetic material (capilene, polypropylene or Merino Wool.) Snug fit is important. Lightweight is preferable as it is more versatile (worn single in warmer conditions and double layer for colder).
    • Light Fleece Jacket/ – 1
    • Thick Fleece Jacket – 1
    • Wool Trousers – 1
    • Woollen sweater – 2
    • Down Jacket – 1
    • Shirt / T- Shirt-3
    • Insulating Layers
    • Lightweight Insulating gloves – 1 pair of fleece or wool.
    • Wool or Synthetic Socks – 3 pairs of lightweight socks. check fit over feet and inside boots as it might be required to wear 2 pairs of
    socks on some days.
    • Wool/Synthetic Hat -1. Make sure your ears are covered.
    • Sandals / Slippers – 1 pair.
    • Sun Shades / Glasses – 1 pair(important).
    • Strong shoes. Any type preferably lightweight (Good Sports Shoes are also good)- 1 pair.

Personal Equipment

  • Sunscreen SPF 25(or more if needed) 2 small tubes. Note: Sunscreen older than 6 months loses half of its SPF rating, make sure that you have new sunscreen.
    • Lipbalm – 1 stick.
  • 1 Litre Water Bottle – At least one bottle with 1 litre capacity. Bottles should be wide mouth and of hard, transparent plastic BPA free plastic or water bag or bladder systems.
    • Headlamp/small torch with Spare batteries-1
    • Toiletry Bag. Basics: Small Towel, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Baby Wipes. Include two rolls of toilet paper. ( One can get toilet paper
    and other basic items in Leh as well)
    • Hand Sanitizer or Other alcohol-based hand cleaners. A small bottle

Registration/Booking Information: To confirm a seat for the event, participants have two options: online or offline registration. Online Method:
  • Participants can register online through a website link.
  • The online registration process includes checking out through the website with the integration of the Cc-avenue payment gateway.
  • For online registration, participants are required to pay 100% of the event cost plus 3% of the payment gateway charges.
Offline Method:
  • Participants can choose the offline registration method.
  • In this case, participants need to transfer a minimum of 50% of the event amount through NEFT/Gpay/IMPS.
  • For offline registration, the first 50% of the event amount should be transferred 10 days before the actual event, and the remaining 50% should be transferred one day before the event.
For events lasting more than 4 days or any Himalayan events:
  • Participants need to transfer a minimum of 50% of the event amount 30 days before the event.
  • The remaining 50% should be transferred 5 days before the event. The remaining amount should be deposited as per the registration policy, or else the booking may be canceled without any refund.
Payment should be done through the mentioned modes only. EMI basis tour bookings are available with the integration of the Cc-avenue payment gateway, but cancellation of EMI bookings will incur a deduction of 10% of the tour cost plus additional applicable cancellation charges. Transfer of Seat:
  • For Himalayan events, seat bookings can be transferred to another person or shifted to the next batch, depending on availability. A notice of 20 days prior to the event is required.
  • For Sahyadri 1/2/3-day events, seat bookings can also be transferred or shifted to the next batch, with a notice of 24 hours prior to the event.
Refund:
  • In the case of seat cancellation, participants need to write an email to offbeat.wanderers17@gmail.com with the reason for cancellation.
  • Refunds are calculated based on the actual full cost of the event, not the advance payment.
  • No refund will be provided within 24 hours of the event. For detailed refund information, refer to the cancellation policy.
Cancellation:
  • The cancellation policy applies to the total cost of the tour/event, excluding paid advance.
  • For overnight 1/2/3-day Sahyadri events:
    • 75% refund if canceled prior to 5 days of the event.
    • 50% refund if canceled prior to 2 days of the event.
    • 30% refund if canceled prior to 1 day of the event.
    • No refund if canceled within 12 hours of the event.
  • For 5-day or any Himalayan events:
    • 75% refund if canceled prior to 30 days of the event.
    • 50% refund if canceled prior to 20 days of the event.
    • 15% refund if canceled prior to 10 days of the event.
    • No refund if canceled after that.
Covid-19 Cancellation Policy:
  • Refunds are provided if participants provide an ICMR/Govt lab-approved report. Travel costs will be deducted as per the cancellation policy.
  • In case of a medical emergency in the family or quarantine, the tour cost will be adjusted for the next available dates/tour. Travel costs will be deducted as per the cancellation policy.
  • State-wise regulations or government regulations will result in the cost being adjusted for the next available dates/tour.
Please note that refunds will be transferred online via NEFT after 15 days from the actual event date. If Offbeat Wanderers cancels the event due

Smoking, Alcohol, Drugs, Narcotics and any kind of intoxication, firearms and gambling strictly prohibited. Please do not litter, we believe in the saying,  “When you go to the mountain leave only your footprints and bring back only memories” The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members.  No Arguments will be entertained. Hiking / Trekking / Rock climbing is an adventurous activity and accidents can happen in spite of taking utmost caution and care. The Offbeat Wanderers will not be responsible for injury / accident to the participant while on trek.

Medical Disclaimer: It’s Important to be fit before going for Treks. It is Important to have a medical fitness checkup done. If suffering from any allergy or ailment, please bring prescribed medicines to prevent serious health problem including heatstroke, severe headache, cough, dehydration and hypothermia.
