  • The sequence of the day-wise itinerary may change depending upon daily tour departure time, re-schedules/restrictions or road blockage, Govt rules, heavy snowfall, and all other unforeseen natural and travel-related conditions or vehicle issues due to extremely bad road conditions.
  • If there is any unprecedented hike in the cost of travel/stay/govt fees or any other circumstances that are beyond the organizer’s control due to any natural calamities. The additional cost incurred will be payable by the traveler in addition to the original package cost.
  • Every traveler must have done a Rapid-Antigen Test as per current regulation ( Jan’ 2023)

Things to carry:

  • Performance Clothing Lightweight Long Underwear – 2 pairs of Tops & Bottoms(in case the weather gets cold).
  • Should be made of moisture-wicking synthetic material (capilene, polypropylene, or Merino Wool.) Snug fit is important. Lightweight is preferable as it is more versatile (worn single in warmer conditions and double layer for colder).

Personal Equipment

  • Note: Sunscreen older than 6 months loses half of its SPF rating, make sure that you have new sunscreen.

  • 1 Litre Water Bottle – At least one bottle with 1 litre capacity. Bottles should be wide mouth and of hard, transparent plastic BPA free plastic or water bag or bladder systems.

The itinerary for the road trip will be as follows:
Day 01: Mumbai / Pune to Dhule ( common meetup ) 18 May 2024
  • Depart from Mumbai or Pune individually, as per convenience, aiming to reach before 5:00 PM to ensure arrival at Dhule by evening.
  • Plan your route based on traffic conditions and preferred roadways. From Mumbai, take the NH3 route, while from Pune, the NH60 route can be a good option.
  • Enjoy a scenic drive through Maharashtra's countryside, passing through towns and villages along the way.
  • Arrive at Dhule, the designated meetup point, where travelers from both Mumbai and Pune will regroup.
  • Spend the night at Dhule, exploring local eateries and rest areas for refreshments and relaxation.

Day 02: Dhule to Ratlam / Kota 9-10hrs drive 19 May 2024
  • Depart from Dhule in the morning after regrouping with fellow travelers.
  • Start your journey towards Ratlam, a significant town in Madhya Pradesh, known for its cultural heritage and historical significance.
  • Travel along NH 52, which connects Dhule to Ratlam via a scenic route through the heart of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Enjoy the picturesque landscapes of rural Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh as you make your way towards your destination.
  • Along the way, consider stopping at local dhabas or eateries to savor authentic regional cuisine and refresh yourself.
  • Make occasional stops for rest breaks and fuel refills to ensure a comfortable journey.

Day 03: Kota to Rohtak 9-10 hrs drive 20 May 2024
  • Depart from Kota in the morning, ready for another day of exciting travel.
  • Take the NH52 route from Kota towards Rohtak, which offers a mix of scenic views and smooth highways for a comfortable drive.
  • As you journey through Rajasthan and into Haryana, soak in the sights of rural landscapes, quaint villages, and bustling towns along the way.
  • Plan for rest stops and meal breaks at convenient intervals to refuel and refresh yourselves.

Day 04: Rohtak to Pathankot 8-9 hrs drive 21 May 2024
  • Begin your day early in Rohtak, ensuring you have ample time to cover the distance to Pathankot.
  • Take the NH44 route from Rohtak towards Pathankot. This route offers well-maintained highways and scenic views, making for a comfortable and enjoyable drive.
  • As you travel through Haryana and into Punjab, you'll pass through towns and cities like Jind, Sangrur, and Ludhiana. Take the opportunity to explore local attractions or stop for refreshments along the way.
  • Plan for rest stops and meal breaks at convenient intervals to rest, refuel, and recharge.
  • Enjoy the changing landscapes as you approach Pathankot, situated at the foothills of the Himalayas.

Day 05: Pathankot to Srinagar 8-9 hrs drive 22 May 2024
  • Start your day early from Pathankot, ensuring you have plenty of time to cover the distance to Srinagar.
  • Take the NH44 route, which will lead you through picturesque landscapes as you travel from Punjab into the breathtakingly beautiful region of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • As you drive, you'll pass through towns and cities such as Jammu. Consider taking breaks along the way to stretch your legs, refuel your vehicle, and grab some refreshments.
  • Enjoy the scenic views as you wind your way through the mountains, crossing bridges over rivers and streams.
  • Keep in mind that the journey from Pathankot to Srinagar is quite long, so plan for multiple stops and breaks to rest and rejuvenate.
  • As you approach Srinagar, be prepared for stunning vistas of lush valleys, towering mountains, and serene lakes.
  • Upon reaching Srinagar, check into your accommodations and take some time to relax and unwind after the day's journey.

Day 06: Srinagar (Rest Day - Local nearby sightseeing) 23 May 2024
  • Since it's a rest day, take your time to relax and rejuvenate after the long journey. Catch up on sleep, enjoy a cup of Kashmiri Kahwa, or simply unwind amidst the serene surroundings.
  • Explore nearby attractions and points of interest in Srinagar that don't involve high-altitude areas.
  • Some options include:
    • Dal Lake: Take a serene shikara ride on Dal Lake, admiring the floating gardens, houseboats, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
    • Mughal Gardens: Visit the beautiful Mughal Gardens like Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi, known for their exquisite Mughal architecture and meticulously landscaped gardens.
    • Old City: Wander through the bustling streets of Srinagar's Old City, exploring its vibrant markets, historic mosques, and traditional Kashmiri handicraft shops.
    • Shankaracharya Temple: Pay a visit to Shankaracharya Temple, situated atop a hill overlooking Srinagar. Enjoy the panoramic views of the city and the surrounding countryside.

Day 07: Srinagar To Kargil via Zojila La Pass – Friday 24 May 2024 (7 hrs by surface Approx.) 
  • We will drive on the NH 1D towards Kargil and with an awesome breeze of Kashmir we’ll start our high-altitude drive. A scenic road goes up to 11575 ft., through Zojila Pass, and down deep in the second coldest place known as Drass.
  • Reach Kargil by late evening. Overnight in Kargil.

Day 08: Kargil to Leh via Lamayuru – Saturday 25th May 2024 (7 hrs by surface Approx.)
  • After fixing accessories and gearing up soon we will kick start towards Leh and today the route is smooth enough with two passes to cross Namikala (12,139 ft) And Fotula (13,478ft). While romancing with a few breath-taking villages and throwing candies to the kids who were excited to see the biker group En route we visited a few famous places like Maitrya Buddha at Mulbik and Moon land at Lamayuru. We visited the Alchi monastery which has famous Gandharva’s arts and paintings date back to the 11th century.
  • We also visit the Sangam River confluence of the two major rivers, the Indus and the Zanskar river, and the Magnetic Hill. By the evening we will Leh. Overnight in Leh.

Day 09: Shey/ Thiksey/Hemis/3-Idiout school/Sindhu Ghat – Sunday 26th May 2024 (FULL DAY TRIP AROUND LEH)
  • After breakfast leave by jeep to visit Stok Royal Palace, the present home of the royal family of Ladakh and you can visit the most beautiful royal museum for ancient ornaments, jewelry, Crown of the King and the Queen. Shey – The ancient capital of Ladakh, 17th-century copper gold gilt statue of historical Buddha Sakyamuni.
  • Thiksey, the most beautiful Gelukpa monastery, and huge famous Future Buddha- The Lord Maitreya and Hemis, The Drukpa monasteries located in the deep gorge. Overnight at Leh.

Day 10: Leh To Nubra Valley – Monday 27 May 2024 Khardong/ Khalsar/ Disket/Hunder (By Surface – Taxi 6 HRS DRIVE APPROX) 
  • Early morning drive to Nubra Valley, Of all the valleys in Ladakh, the Nubra is the most luxuriant and fertile lies North of Leh with the mighty Karakoram Range forming its northern boundary and the Ladakh range on its south. Two major tributaries of the Indus. The valley is lush green as far as the eye can see with glaciated peaks all around it. The route from Leh takes travel far over the Khardongla pass (5,600 m) the highest motorable road in the world. The view from the top is amazing. One can see all the way south over the Indus Valley to the seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range. Diskit is the main village of Nubra division with Diskit Gonpa on a sheer rock cliff, built in the 16th century; 7 km from Diskit is Hunder village where the shaggy double-humped Bactrian camel is found. And camel riding in the dune between Diskit and Hunder village could be fun and more interesting in this region. Overnight at Nubra.

Day 11: Nubra Valley to Turtuk Tuesday 28 May 2024 (By Surface – Taxi) (FULL DAY TRIP)
  • Turtuk Falls in Baltistan – the place was under Pakistani control till 1971, heading further last thang village where the actual LOC falls. Don’t miss the chance to interact with the locals and their friendly behavior – the whole feel is like being in Pakistan. You can try delicious apricots here which are a major source of income for the locals. Visit Turtuk Waterfall and Turtuk Museum later if time permits. Also, enjoy the magnificent view of K2 peak in case of clear view.

Day 12: Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shayok Valley – Wednesday 29 May 2024 (6 HRS DRIVE APPROX.)
  • Today we venture on the same route till Khalsar and from there by turning our left indicator our drive goes towards the eastern part of Ladakh, along the Shayok River. We drive up to Pangong Lake (15000 ft) along Shayok river trails with mesmerising landscape and water crossing playing on gravel roads is common on this road, this drive will take you to the deep enchanting nature of open roads. Overnight at Pangong Lake.

Day 14: Pangong to Hanle via Loma Bend – Thursday 30 May 2024  (By Surface 310 Kms / 08 hrs)
  • After an early breakfast, we will drive towards Hanle village. Hanle is in the highlands of the Changthang region of Ladakh. It is one of the most beautiful places in Changthang region. The Hanley monastery has a picturesque bird’s eye view of the village. This village is home to about 1000 people. Hanle Monastery is a 17th-century monastery of the Drukpa lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. The monastery has 60 monks. The main monastery, one of the largest and best known of Ladakh’s monasteries, was built under the protege of the kind single Namgyal. The views from the top of the monastery are just breathtaking. Hanle also houses an Indian astronomical observatory which is the world’s highest observatory in the world at a staggering height of 4500 meters. Overnight in local Homestay.

Day 15: Hanle to Umling La and Tso kar – Friday 31 May 2024 (9/10 Hrs) 
  • After breakfast, we drive to the world’s highest motorable road Umling La back towards Manali
  • Enjoy the scenic drive as you traverse through the Changthang plateau, known for its vast barren landscapes, high-altitude lakes, and nomadic settlements.
  • En route, you'll pass through picturesque valleys, cross mountain passes, and encounter herds of yaks and other wildlife.

Day 16: Tso Kar to Jispa Saturday 1 June 2024 (9-10 hrs) 
  • Start your day early from Tso Kar, allowing plenty of time to cover the considerable distance to Jispa.
  • Depart from Tso Kar and head towards the village of Sarchu, which serves as a popular overnight stop for travelers on the Manali-Leh Highway.
  • The road from Tso Kar to Sarchu is approximately 150 kilometers and can take around 5-6 hours to drive, depending on road conditions and weather.
  • Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as you traverse through high mountain passes, rugged valleys, and winding roads.
  • Plan for rest stops along the way to stretch your legs, take photographs, and soak in the beauty of the landscape.
  • Upon reaching Sarchu, take a break for lunch and rest before continuing your journey towards Manali.
  • Continue driving towards the picturesque town of Keylong, while crossing the mighty Lachung La Pass, Nakee la Pass, Gata Loops & baralacha la Pass.
  • Jispa offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and serves as a gateway to the Lahaul Valley.

Day 17: Jispa to Manali via Sissu and Atal Tunnel Sunday 2 June 2024 (7-8 hrs) 
  • Start your day early from Jispa, ensuring you have plenty of time to enjoy the drive to Manali via Sissu and the Atal Tunnel.
  • Depart from Jispa and head south towards Sissu, which is located approximately 40 kilometers away. The drive takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions.
  • Enjoy the scenic views of the Bhaga River and lush green valleys as you drive towards Sissu.
  • Make a brief stop at Sissu to admire the stunning waterfall cascading down from the mountainside.
  • From Sissu, continue driving towards the Atal Tunnel, which is located approximately 20 kilometers away. The tunnel is a marvel of engineering and significantly reduces the travel time between Manali and Leh.
  • The road from the Atal Tunnel to Manali offers spectacular views of the Beas River and the towering peaks of the Himalayas.
  • Upon reaching Manali, check into your accommodations and relax after a day of travel.
  • Spend the evening exploring the bustling streets of Manali, sampling local cuisine, and shopping for souvenirs.

Day 18: Manali to Rohtak Monday 3 June 2024 (9-10 hrs) 
  • Start your day early in Manali, ensuring you have enough time to cover the considerable distance to Rohtak.
  • Depart from Manali and head south towards Mandi on NH3, which is approximately 110 kilometers away. The drive takes around 3-4 hours, depending on road conditions.
  • Enjoy the scenic views of the Beas River and lush green valleys as you drive towards Mandi.
  • Make a brief stop in Mandi for breakfast or refreshments, and perhaps take a stroll around the town to stretch your legs.
  • From Mandi, continue driving towards Rohtak on NH3. The distance between Mandi and Rohtak is approximately 350 kilometers, and the drive takes around 7-8 hours.
  • As you journey through Himachal Pradesh and into Haryana, you'll pass through towns and cities like Chandigarh and Ambala.
  • Plan for rest stops along the way to stretch your legs, refuel your vehicle, and grab some refreshments.
  • Upon reaching Rohtak, settle into your accommodations for the night and unwind after a long day of travel.

Day 19: Rohtak to Kota Tuesday 4 June 2024 (9-10 hrs) 
  • Begin your journey early in the morning from Rohtak, aiming to cover the considerable distance to Kota efficiently.
  • Depart from Rohtak and head southeast towards Delhi on NH9, which is approximately 70 kilometers away. The drive takes around 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
  • Upon reaching Delhi, navigate through the city and connect to NH48, which leads towards Jaipur. Delhi to Jaipur is approximately 280 kilometers and takes around 5-6 hours to drive.
  • Enjoy the scenic landscapes of the Aravalli Hills and the rural countryside of Rajasthan as you make your way towards Jaipur.
  • Plan for rest stops and meal breaks along the way to stretch your legs and refresh yourself.
  • Upon reaching Jaipur, take some time to explore the Pink City and its iconic landmarks if time permits. Alternatively, you can proceed directly towards Kota.

Day 20: Kota to Dhule Wednesday 5 June 2024 (9-10 hrs) 
  • Begin your journey early in the morning from Kota, aiming to cover the considerable distance to Dhule efficiently.
  • Depart from Kota and head southwest towards Vadodara on NH52/NH48. The distance between Kota and Vadodara is approximately 520 kilometers and takes around 9-10 hours to drive.
  • Enjoy the scenic landscapes of rural Rajasthan and Gujarat as you make your way towards Vadodara. Plan for rest stops and meal breaks along the way to stretch your legs and refresh yourself.
  • Upon reaching Vadodara, take some time to explore the city if time permits. Visit its famous attractions such as Laxmi Vilas Palace, Sayaji Baug, or the EME Temple.
  • From Vadodara, continue driving south towards Dhule on NH48. The distance between Vadodara and Dhule is approximately 370 kilometers and takes around 7-8 hours to drive.
  • As you journey through Gujarat and Maharashtra, you'll pass through towns and cities like Surat, Nashik, and Malegaon. Enjoy the sights of bustling markets, colorful streets, and diverse cultures along the way.
  • Plan for rest stops and meal breaks to ensure a comfortable journey. Keep in mind the travel time and adjust your schedule accordingly to reach Dhule before nightfall.

Day 21: Dhule to Mumbai / Pune Thursday 6 June 2024 (9-10 hrs)
  • The final destination is Mumbai or Pune, where you'll bid farewell to your fellow travelers and conclude your memorable journey.
  • Begin your day in Dhule, ensuring you're well-rested and ready for the final leg of your journey.
  • Depart from Dhule in the morning, heading towards your final destination of Mumbai or Pune.
  • Depending on your location, choose the route that best suits your preferences and travel conditions. From Dhule to Mumbai, you can take NH160 and NH60. For Pune, you can take NH160 and NH50.
  • Enjoy the scenic landscapes of Maharashtra as you make your way back towards the bustling cities.
  • Plan for rest stops and meal breaks along the way to stretch your legs and refresh yourself.
  • Keep an eye on traffic conditions, especially as you approach Mumbai or Pune, to ensure a smooth entry into the city.
  • Upon reaching Mumbai or Pune, take some time to reflect on your journey and the incredible experiences you've had along the way.

Registration/Booking Information: To confirm a seat for the event, participants have two options: online or offline registration. Online Method:
  • Participants can register online through a website link.
  • The online registration process includes checking out through the website with the integration of the Cc-avenue payment gateway.
  • For online registration, participants are required to pay 100% of the event cost plus 3% of the payment gateway charges.
Offline Method:
  • Participants can choose the offline registration method.
  • In this case, participants need to transfer a minimum of 50% of the event amount through NEFT/Gpay/IMPS.
  • For offline registration, the first 50% of the event amount should be transferred 10 days before the actual event, and the remaining 50% should be transferred one day before the event.
For events lasting more than 4 days or any Himalayan events:
  • Participants need to transfer a minimum of 50% of the event amount 30 days before the event.
  • The remaining 50% should be transferred 5 days before the event. The remaining amount should be deposited as per the registration policy, or else the booking may be canceled without any refund.
Payment should be done through the mentioned modes only. EMI basis tour bookings are available with the integration of the Cc-avenue payment gateway, but cancellation of EMI bookings will incur a deduction of 10% of the tour cost plus additional applicable cancellation charges. Transfer of Seat:
  • For Himalayan events, seat bookings can be transferred to another person or shifted to the next batch, depending on availability. A notice of 20 days prior to the event is required.
  • For Sahyadri 1/2/3-day events, seat bookings can also be transferred or shifted to the next batch, with a notice of 24 hours prior to the event.
Refund:
  • In the case of seat cancellation, participants need to write an email to offbeat.wanderers17@gmail.com with the reason for cancellation.
  • Refunds are calculated based on the actual full cost of the event, not the advance payment.
  • No refund will be provided within 24 hours of the event. For detailed refund information, refer to the cancellation policy.
Cancellation:
  • The cancellation policy applies to the total cost of the tour/event, excluding paid advance.
  • For overnight 1/2/3-day Sahyadri events:
    • 75% refund if canceled prior to 5 days of the event.
    • 50% refund if canceled prior to 2 days of the event.
    • 30% refund if canceled prior to 1 day of the event.
    • No refund if canceled within 12 hours of the event.
  • For 5-day or any Himalayan events:
    • 75% refund if canceled prior to 30 days of the event.
    • 50% refund if canceled prior to 20 days of the event.
    • 15% refund if canceled prior to 10 days of the event.
    • No refund if canceled after that.
Covid-19 Cancellation Policy:
  • Refunds are provided if participants provide an ICMR/Govt lab-approved report. Travel costs will be deducted as per the cancellation policy.
  • In case of a medical emergency in the family or quarantine, the tour cost will be adjusted for the next available dates/tour. Travel costs will be deducted as per the cancellation policy.
  • State-wise regulations or government regulations will result in the cost being adjusted for the next available dates/tour.
Please note that refunds will be transferred online via NEFT after 15 days from the actual event date. If Offbeat Wanderers cancels the event due

Smoking, Alcohol, Drugs, Narcotics and any kind of intoxication, firearms and gambling strictly prohibited. Please do not litter, we believe in the saying,  “When you go to the mountain leave only your footprints and bring back only memories” The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members.  No Arguments will be entertained. Hiking / Trekking / Rock climbing is an adventurous activity and accidents can happen in spite of taking utmost caution and care. The Offbeat Wanderers will not be responsible for injury / accident to the participant while on trek.
