Parvyachi Dhar and Hiwala Ghat’s offbeat trek perched beautifully amidst the Sahyadri ranges. Bhandardara is a wonderful hill station for nature lovers. It is often called the Queen of Sahyadri ranges for its lush green natural landscapes. The name Bhandardara translates to valley of treasures and it is not a doubt to say that the natural beauty of this place certainly justifies the name. It is a picturesque retreat for backpackers in Ahmednagar district and boasts some scintillating natural attractions for those who are fond of the raw beauty of nature. The region has prominent places like Wilson Dam, Umbrella Falls, and Arthur Lake where you can plan a picnic with your loved ones. The village is also a delight for history lovers as there are places like Ratangad and Harishchandragad Fort. Other famous tourist attractions of Bhandardara are Mount Kalsubai, Sandhan Valley Alang, Madan, and Kulang forts which are also hailed as thrilling trek of Maharashtra.

Parvyachi dhar and Hiwala Ghat Trek Cost:

• Cost: 1600/- From to Mumbai

The itinerary for the trek is as follows:

Day:0 –  Sat: 29 June 2024 (Batch:1) | 

• 21:50pm – Mumbai Participant
• The first meeting point is at Borivali National Park gate.
• Further pickup Malad Oberai Mall, Andheri Flyover end, Bandra Kalanagar Signal, Sion lunch home, Amar Mahal Junction, Nalanda Ghatkopar, Vikroli, Bhandup Pumping / Airoli Signal EEH, Thane Teen hat naka, Kalyan-Bhiwani Bypass below the bridge.
• The coordinator number and vehicle details will be shared post-confirmation.
• Overnight travel to base. Rest in the vehicle. En route halt for tea and washroom.

Day:1 Sunday 30 June 2024 (Batch:1) | 

• 05:30 am – Reach base village, have a cup of tea, and refresh yourself. For breakfast and morning chores, carry essentials like drinking water, some ready-eat food, personal medicine, etc, rest things can kept in the vehicle (except valuable items.)
• 07:15 am – Small intro and will start heading toward jungle trail. Cross the first stream and head further toward the narrow mountain ridge.
• 09:30 am –  Reach Plateau and rest for a while have a quick snack.
• 10:30 am – Proceed further via Hiwalyachi Dhaar, hiwala waterfall.
• 2:30 pm – Tentative reach back village. Change clothes and have a delicious lunch.
• 4:30 pm – Starts travel back to Mumbai.
• 10:00 pm – Depending upon traffic conditions reach back and the trek concludes with memories.

The Alang Route Trek (Futkyachi Vaat), was an uncommon adventure unlike any other. It was packed with excitement, thrilling challenges, and endless fun. The recent rains had transformed the landscape, making the entire trek a visual feast. We feasted on fresh mangoes and Indian blue berry in the jungle!  The delicious home-cooked meals in the village added another layer of delight to the experience. To top it all off, a refreshing swim in the river at the trek's conclusion was pure bliss. Today we did Bhandardara Fireflies camping and trek. It was indeed an amazing and adventurous trip of the season for us. I liked the way Team Offbeat gives importance safety and security of each and every member of the group. Food from local villagers was great. Camping location was also best. Karoli valley trek is one of the best weekend treks I have encountered in maharashtra. Full of adventure and surprises.
